- Occurs when electrically-charged particles from the sun collide with particles from gasses such as oxygen and nitrogen present in the Earth's atmosphere.

BLACK HOLE "MASS GAP"

BLAZAR

COMETS

COPERNICUS PROGRAMME
- The Earth observation component of the European Union's Space programme.

CORONAL MASS EJECTION (CME)
- Large eruptions of magnetized plasma from the corona that propagate outward into interplanetary space.
COSMIC DIAMOND (Stellar Diamond / Carbon Star)

GEOSTATIONARY ORBIT
- A type of geosynchronous orbit but restricted only to the equatorial plane.

- An orbit where a spacecraft is first launched to attain a geosynchronous orbit.
