Has Shabir Khanbali committed blasphemy?
Who’s responsible for the ‘derogatory’ language used against the Holy Quran?

  • 1. Shabir was repeatedly used as a prop by certain content creators, disregarding his mental health and putting him through rigorous mental exertions on a stretch.

  • 2. As Shabir appeared on scripted videos, general audiences believed that he’s mental health has improved to an extend where he has voluntarily control over his words and actions. This projected him as a normal “funny” guy, who does things on his own to make people laugh - which is untrue perception created by those content creators to establish him as a comic figure obviously for likes and views.

  • 3. He was beaten by some people that alienated him further from the society, this traumatic experience further impacted his mental health.

  • 4. With his mental status, he wasn’t able to register/handle the overwhelming response his videos generated. I’m shocked that many news portals updated his videos and news about his controversy to get clicks on their website.

  • 5. When you put a camera on purpose a mentally unstable person’s face, repeatedly question him about holy book, which isn’t familiar with intellectually, you’re simply looking for a desired response that you want to use against the poor fellow. (Why did they shoot his video?)

  • 6. Despite knowing that the Shabir used extremely offensive words for the Holy book, they still made it public on social media, who’s responsible for the outrage, mentally sick Shabir or those people who knowingly posted the video of Shabir using such derogatory words?

  • 7. Shabir is a Majnoon (mentally unsound) Sharia laws don’t apply to him, and people need to stop using him for their videos, just leave him alone! He won’t be able to handle the overwhelming public response and will make such slip of tongue in future as well.

  • 8. Shabir needs a mental health councillor not a YouTube channel at the moment. The fatwa brigade should leave him alone and delete the ‘blasphemous video’ everywhere, which was result of provocation by few men.

  • 9. Shabir is an empty vessel, anyone can fill it with anything, he will say what he’s asked to say, or provoked to say - stop bullying him!

  • 10. Be kind and compassionate towards such people, stop making them a laughing stock! Even if his mental sickness is result of drugs, he’s not responsible for the blasphemous video but If anyone is responsible that’s those men who knowingly posted such a vile video, that’s has hurt sentiments of Muslims in Kashmir.

  • 11. Anyone who’s sharing that video and spreading it like wild fire for few likes is equally responsible for the outrage!

  • 12. I’m hurt as a Muslim too, but that won’t make me pick on a mentally unsound person. It shouldn’t have happened but now please act responsibly and stop using poor fellows like Shabir as an instrument for laughter. Islam teaches us to take care of such people, instead of making their lives miserable!

  • 13. He’s a funny guy, but that doesn’t make him mentally stable. He’s not responsible for his jokes nor his abuses! Those who post his videos, should be held responsible for what they chose to post online on his behalf.

  • 14. He can only be subjected to public scrutiny incase he’s proven to be mentally stable (regarding the recent video that surfaced on social media) till then stop these social media trials and ask everyone to remove that video.

  • 15. For losers, who still wants to knock him down - Seede Mout Kulle Manz, Peythe Latmound!
